Before the challenge...

It's almost February: Month of Letters. I'm preparing everything for the A Month of Letters Challenge. The calendar is printed and almost everyday is filled with a swap or a name that will get a letter/card/... I bought (and even recieved) some writing paper and notecards. The stickers of the challenge are printed and they are waiting to get stuck on a nice envelope. I definitely need to buy some stamps. I'm really excited about it!

I will be blogging about the challenge, but I'm not making an extra challenge to blog every day ;)

So for now some pictures of incoming and outgoin mail of this week.

Out:

Six weeks Snail Mail #1 - Europe part 4. A postcard of where you live. I don't live in Antwerp but very near to it. This shows the city how I like it the most: by night. Like all the parts of this swap it's going to Austria.

National handwriting day swap.
This letter is going to Canada. I had to introduce myself and telling about my handwriting. I've sent some extra's: air mail stickers, 2 used Belgian stamps and a teabag.

In:

Last part of the 6 weeks private Pen Pal swap. Manuela spoiled me ...again with all these goodies. This was such a great swap and we'll keep writing.

From the UK for a private swap. I love the stamp!

It was a while ago I did an ATC swap. I still have to make my part of the swap. But I've already recieved from my partner from USA.

Look who's writing too...

Although I almost write when the girls are in bed they know ofcourse about the writing. They enjoy the cards I get and are very curious about what's inside those lovely enveloppes.
It must have triggered them... cause the little one, Yuna has written her first letter that went by snailmail.

Today this letter starts his journey to USA for the Write a letter: Make a friend swap. What's better than reading a letter together with drinking tea with a piece of chocolate...?

My mailbox recieved again great stuff....

I love this writingpaper that Frida used to write That was my 2012-letter. She added this cute PC with pinguins.

Katti's second part for the 6 weeks snail mail #1. Love the enveloppe and those cute stickers.

A nice twist on letterwriting-swaps: Puzzle Letter. Dominic did a great job by cutting all kinds of puzzle pieces. I even found it hard to put it together ;) I should find a way to keep him proper together... any ideas?

In the group on swap-bot: write it out there was a nice letter writing swap: Best and Worst of 2012. Nichole wrote me a great letter and did sent me little enveloppes as an extra. Did you see this stamp from USA?

New friend for the New Year recieved from Yunju from Korea. I was really excited for recieving from Korea!

All the way from Malasyia this cute Advertising card.

3th part for the 6 weeks snail mail #1
I already recognize the letters from Katti :) Her sun is rather simpel but I love it :) She sent me a recipe for a cheesecake I'm going to try this for sure. A teabag with chocolate taste... weird.... The ATC is made with paillettes...so unique!

Quick cute animal postcard #23. Those Quick swaps are great when you love to send and recieving something fast :) I love Englisch Bulldogs so for me this postcard is supercute. I hope my partner from USA thinks the same.

Last outgoing for private 6 weeks

The last part, part 6 of the 6weeks Private Pen Pal swap has started his trip to Germany. Send wathever you like to send...  Because Manuela started making ATC's I've put a lots of craft supplies in it: flowers, buttons, eyelets, ATC sleeves, ATC cards.  ATC cards I made a few years ago. the theme was : La vie en rose.  And a little piece of Belgian chocolat :)
Can't believe this was the last part already. I had so much fun with this swap.

6 weeks Private Pen pal swap - part 5

I feel spoiled! For part 5 we had to send a profile based suprise for about 5 euro. I forgot to take a picture of what I'v sent :(. I told Manuela in my letter that it's hard to find writing paper here, so she was so kind to send me some. I love butterflies and tiny magnets... Really love all of this!

recieved from swap-bot and postcrossing

Just started my blog and I'm already getting behind with showing all the great stuff I recieve. Most of my free time is spend with the swaps I joined on Swap-bot.

I'm considering to join A month of letters 2013 challenge. It sounds like so much fun, but also a big challenge. Nowadays I write about 3 to 4 letters/postcards a week so it must be possible. Someone of you are joining? Or someone is considering?

This card was recieved from Canada- Postcrossing.

6 weeks private penpal swap, part 4: send 3 postcards in an enveloppe. Manuela has sent me the postcard of the camels, the castle and dominican republic.

I'm in a another 6 weeks snail mail swap: Europe only. I got a letter from Kathleen who lives in Sweden. She has sent me the postcard with trees as an extra. The enveloppe with the 'palace' was hers too.

3 bears on a Postcard was sent from The Netherlands for the Easy PC swap - senders choice. The butterfly postcard was for the same swap but came from Uk. I love this one...'cause butterflies are always wanted on my address! :)

I love animals so I needed to join the swap 'Animal PC' and I got this beautiful PC. The baby elephant is Lily and was born in November in the Oregon zoo.

What did I send last week?

I signed up for quit a lots of swaps... I think maybe I got a little bit to enthusiast... Beside all work that have to be done at home I  spend my time on the swaps ...And well, I have to say I'm also very busy with googling around to get inspired for new cards, writingpaper and all things about snailmail.

On the group 'Swaps for Europe *new* there was a 'Easy PC Swap-senders choice'. I like those swaps with no theme because I can use some of the cards that I already bought before. The most fun thing with swapping still is trying to find something that meets swap requirement and still fits the likes of your partner. Tha brambly hedge card went to the UK and the cats to Russia.

Nowadays I like to be in swaps that are penpal/letterwriting related. This swap was in the group 'Penpalling Swappers'. The swap was called *Puzzle Letter*. Write a letter and then cut the paper in 15 pieces. I wrote 2 pages so I putted the pieces seperate in an enveloppe. The enveloppe for sending was drawn full with pieces of puzzles. It was mailes to USA.
Monday part 2 of the 'Six weeks Snail Mail #1 Europe' got into the mail. It has to be a greeting card were you had to write about your week. My partner likes cute stuff so when I saw this card with the giraf I definitely had to buy it for this swap. I added some teabags.

The multivieuwcard of Antwerp and the turtle PC were sended to 2 of my PCpenpals (Australia and USA)

'Advertising/Free postcard swap #5' mailed to USA.

A private swap with UK. She asked for postcards. I send one from Antwerp and one from Spain. The wrapped gifts are Belgian chocolat. I'm proud of our Belgian chocolat so it's always nice to send some of it to other country's.

One or two weeks ago I joined the group: 'Write It Out'. This was my first swap in the group. Writing a letter about the best and worst of 2012. I added some teabags. I love the enveloppe that I recieved some time ago in another swap .

The black and white postcard is from Postcrossing and was recieved from Finland.

How snail-mail can make your day...

Comming home from work and finding 6 things in the mailbox that aren't bills or advertisements... Well that makes my day!

The amazing card with the black and white drawing I recieved from Lotte. If you like the card, go to her website to discover more of her art.

The snowy and Djerba PC, the letter on the Diddl paper and teabags are from Sternenfee for the 'A letter, a postcard and a teabag' swap on swap-bot.

We are doing a 6 weeks private Pen Pal swap. It's really great to have Sternenfee as partner. Here you can see part 3 of the swap: she made 3 ATC for me. This was the first time for her making ATC's. She did a great job!

On the same day I got also 2 postcards from malgosya: the 2 kids PC for the International Postcard Pen Pal #2  and the PC with Santa was for the Last minute holiday card-Europe.

And than an envelope that has blown me away... really. This was for the ILPP Intro notecard swap. Introduce yourself in a notecard... and what I got from CENDING: the cute owl notecard, the hello kitty stickers, ribbon of the grinch, a cute butterfly tag and the most lovely postcard from monsters and co: finally I got one with Boo on it :))) I also loved the envelope but could'nt get it right on picture :(
